How to finally finish video before rendering?

Post by lazar1804 »

How to finally finish video before rendering? I hope that you guys understand my question. You see, whenever I save/render/export my video it has that huge black part between the moment when I would like to finish video and moment when it really ends.

So, please help me with this. I believe that it`s very common to all of you who use VS longer than I do.

Thanks a lot!

Sorry but I don't understand your question.

What do you mean by "that huge black part between the moment when I would like to finish video and moment when it really ends"? "Huge black part" where?

Personally, if that happened to me, I would be looking at all the timelines to see what was down around the point that the video actually stopped playing, as opposed to where you thought it should end. The fact that it is doing this indicates to me that there is some small trace of either video, a photo, a title or music or voice in one of the overlay tracks. It need only be a frame or two which may have remained when you cut a longer file at that point. But it would be enough to make VS think that it was the real end of the project...

That being said, I have never experienced that in all my years of video editing. But I am careful, when editing and cutting files which are much longer than the other files in the project, to make sure all remaining traces have been cleaned out before trying to Share the project...

Hi
A agree with Ken that there may be some clip further down the timeline.
Below the preview screen are some navigation controls
Select the Project
Then select End ( the righthand facing arrow with the vertical line ) seems to have lost its tool tip.
That will take the timeline and cursor to the end of your project. What do you see.
