Color slideshow template
Hi. I thought the color slideshow template looked pretty cool so I purchased it and downloaded it. OK...uh..I've been using VSP for a few years. I have 10 Ultimate. Where did this go to? Is it under FX? It is under instant projects? I can't find where it was placed into the program and I could not find any instructions on how to use it. Thanks. The link to the product is below. Thanks in advance.

Hi
I do not think these packs auto install and some Copy and Paste is required, I may be wrong.
You should have received install instructions PDF with your order.
The download of templates may be in a Zip file usually we are given the choice of a save location, if not look in your Download folder.
The order should allow you to download a few times, so you could always try again.
Example …as a guess called Colors_Slideshow_Template.zip
Extracting the contents could give a folder which has to be Copy and Pasted to the system folder
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10\EditingStyle\InstantProject
They should then show within Video Studio Instant Projects library
If they are Fast Flick templates, I assume Yes, will also be available for use in Fast Flick.
The last time I dealt with these type of purchases the installation instructions were vague.
and if they do auto install, ignore my comments above.

Re: Color slideshow template
After you paid you will have received an e-mail with the download instruction
when you downloaded you will have received a file called color.zip - if you have set default download locations look there for that - if you have not set download defaults it may be in the 'downloads' folder on your computer
after you locate the color.zip file unzip it to any suitable location which you note
the unzipped files will contain one called 'color.exe' - run that - and your PC will go through an install process
at the end of that you should find a new folder called 'color' in the folder Trevor listed (not important if you can't find it - as long as your new template is in Instant projects - it's on your PC somewhere)
Next time you open Videostudio open the Instant Projects library after a bit of whirring and updating open the 'custom' pane and in there you will find your 'color project' - possibly the top one in there as it is new
drag the thumbnail down into the timeline and away you go

Re: Color slideshow template
HI all. So, I re-did this and watched more carefully (thinking the first time it would be intuitive). There is an install shield that comes up and it says that it is installed under VSPTemplate. I still can't find this.
I checked under instant projects and there are only the instant projects that the program came with.
I checked under Fx..and I don't see any new Fx link.
The files installed into VSP as such:
CorelVideoStudioPro >VSPTemplate>Color
I also rechecked the zip file and there is no .pdf instruction file. I am at a loss. Any further help would be a appreciated. I simply cannot find any template button or area where this should be. F
PS..under my InstantProject, I do not see a 'custom' area or even a word that says 'template'

Re: Color slideshow template
You can find the VSPTemplate folder here, C:\Users|yourname\MyDocuments\CorelVideoStudioPro\VSPTemplate.
If you can find your new templates, then they should also now be visible in the Instant Project folder in the library, note that they may not appear as a separate folder, but could well be included under one of the other headings

if you ran the install then you should be able to locate the 'color' template in the Instant Projects > Custom folder as shown below

Re: Color slideshow template
OK. I realized that at the bottom there was an arrow to expand this area. Now I have the columns, alas, still no project.

Re: Color slideshow template
If the Colour template is an Instant Project then there should be a folder here
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate
BJC image does show it in Custom

Re: Color slideshow template
Your looking for a folder just called ' color' - it should be in the VSPTemplate folder which Trevor pointed to above
inside the color folder I have a total of 25 files

Re: Color slideshow template
Hi. Yes. I have that folder which is visible in my Windows Explorer. It is not accessible through the VSP Program. These files are in folder, visible in my program list. There is no access within the VSP to use it within the slideshow I am working on. F

Re: Color slideshow template
First problem I have is that the folder appears to be on your OneDrive ... not your computer .. I am not at all sure that Videostudio can find it there .. is it also on the computer main drive .. if no try putting it on your main drive preferably on the 'C' drive and restarting Videostudio
If it is on your hard drive I can't explain why it is not loading automatically - but please do this
Open Videostudio and then open the Instant project library - then the 'Custom' sub library
in the top left corner of the panel holding the thumbnails is an icon looking like an old fashioned sort of paper folder with a '+' sign on it , click on it
a Windows 'browse to' type of window will open , use the controls there to browse to and select the 'color' folder , when you open that only one file should be showing - that should be 'UserTemplateStyle.vpt ' .. Click on it and then the open button
One of two things should then happen
1. there will be some activity and the project should then appear in the library
OR
2. you will receive a message to the effect that the template already exists
If No.1 then your problem is solved .. if No.2 then the project is in one of the sub-folders and a browse through all of them should quickly locate it and that should also solve the problem

Re: Color slideshow template
Hi BJC and thanks so much for trying to help me here. Your instructions were very clear. I followed them and it states that the template already exists. I still don't see it. None of the fast flicks or instant projects are labeled as 'color'. They are have names such as 'project. vsp', or T or V .vsp. I clicked and watched all the fast flick programs and none do what is presented on the description/page of the link above. I went through beginning, middle, ending, complete, custom, general. None...are named 'color' or, when u click on them and watch the clip, perform or do as is shown in the description/advertisement/page. The only thing I can assume or guess is that it IS there but labeled as a 'project' file and that what is shown in the clip, is different because of how they edited it in the advertisement. Dunno. I think this is a lost cause and I may give up and eat the $5. Facts: file purchased; download successful; install successful; project 'exists' in the program as per the check above. Me...I can't find it. If you can figure any way to open the files by going by browsing, otherwise I surrender. I DO really appreciate all your help. I have downloaded other mini projects which I have never had problems with. Below is all that is visible in my custom folder. F
