PSP 2018 prism effects advice.
Hello, i would like to create a rainbow prism effect, like the one in the picture. The picture is done manually through camera effects but is there any way to recreate it using paint shop pro 2018? This is for a project i am working on. Thank you.

I'm not aware of any built-in prism-effects. How did you create this manually?

If the effect you are looking for is only the rainbow color banding on the sides of the light, some suggestions:
1) Use a highly saturated paintbrush (low hardness) under a masked layer
2) Draw a vector graphic rectangle with a rainbow gradient infill, then apply a Gaussian blur to the layer.

Is this something like what you are after?
Prepared a 1000 x 1000 pixel black bottom layer and on a new transparent layer above it placed a small dot of white with the paintbrush
I used rectangular selection tool to make a suitable size narrow rectangle with a feather on a new separate layer . Then a rainbow gradient to fill that narrow rectangle, then duplicated that 4 times.
Last two layers resized down about half . Then used the Pick tool to locate those around the central star which was on its own layer above a black background.
Merged the rainbow layers and applied a motion blur at the same angle.
Then Effects and using the black layer (bottom) applied the starburst effect and fiddled around with that to stop the lens halos, and reduce the number of spikes and their brightness.
Then applied a small white brush with a small jitter (Size 1 and position 750) to get the star background.
