I did a very basic edit with some files from my camcorder which I have done many times before with success.
I did one yesterday and when I play the result, all I get is a green screen.
When I 'Share', I use the option 'same as first clip'.
These are the settings:
MPEG Transport-Stream Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 50 fps
Frame-based
(HDMV-PAL), 16:9
H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 25000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
Any reason that it would not render properly this time?

Re: Incorrect rendering
Hi Dave
just tried this with one of my MTS files, similar properties and do not have a problem
Does this occur with all of your clips or just this one.
If only this clip then i assume it to be corrupt in some way.
I assume the new rendered file is using the same properties as the original.
When you say basic edit, what did you use, did you apply any filters?

Re: Incorrect rendering
I have successfully rendered many many clips from this camcorder. I also assume that the rendered file is using the same properties as the original as I selected "same as first clip' in the sharing option.
The only edits I did was cutting bits out - no filters.

Re: Incorrect rendering
It would still be useful to know, as Trevor has already asked, if this is happening to just the one clip, or to all the output from your camcorder.
One other thing you might try is to run the problem clip through a video converter (such as the freeware Handbrake) with properties similar to those of the original, and then see if editing the new clip in VS still produces the green output.

Re: Incorrect rendering
It does seem very unusual using MTS files.
Two more things to try
1 / Turn off Smart Proxy, assuming you are using that option
Try rendering again
If no change
2 / Share – same as first clip deselect Smart Render
render again
Clutching at straws I am afraid.
