Create Macro Function

Post by steindfr »

It would be great to create a "macro" function.
For instance
1. Create macro "myMacro", begin to record the macro
2. Choose "Effects / Photo Effects / Film % Filter", choose parameters
3. Choose "Adjust / Brightness", choose +10 for brightness
finish macro recording.
Then choose some photos and execute the macro. All changes will be executed on the selected photos.
I hope, I've named to correct English-names of the menue points - I use the german version of Paint Shop Pro 2019 Ultimate.

Just tested and you can already do this.
1. View > Toolbars make sure that Script is chosen. This will show the script toolbar.
01ScriptToolbar.jpg
2. Load an image and when ready to record your macro click on the Start Recording button .
3. Do the Effects > Photo Effects > Film and Filters and make your changes
4. Do Adjust > Brightness and Contrast > Brightness/Contrast and make your changes
5. Click the Save Script Recording button. In teh dialodg box type in a unique name for yor recorded script and click OK

6. Load your next image (or click the next image to make it active if you have loaded a number of images) . Scroll down the Name of recording list (little white arrow to right of Macro name ) and choose the name you used.
7. Click the Play Recording button (Run Selected Script)

Repeat 6 and 7 for each image.
You can also use a batch process if all the images are similar (eg taken on Motor drive)
You can also click the Toggle Execution Mode button if you want each step to run and wait for you to make slight changes.
Do a search in the help files Help> Help Topics and search for Scripts and then choose the Recording Saved Scripts and Running Saved Scripts for further information.
