Customising Standad Toolbar in PSP 2019
Please help before I pull out the remaining strands of my hair. I have spent hours trying to find a way to add tools to my Standard toolbar in PSP 2019; I have tried many ways but don't appear to have the option in the 2019 trial version; perhaps it's not available?
The instructions I have found is to right click on the toolbar and choose customise. When I do this all I get is one box with options of changing sizes of the icons, I don't see the list of tools in order to add them to the toolbar or any otheroptions to get to that box.
May I add that I have had several versions of PSP; X7, X9 and 2018 and have been able to customise toolbars on those.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Mike.

Hi Mike
and welcome to the forums
Are you using PSP in Essentials mode?
Go to File – Workspace – Complete
Now try right click on tool bar

Hooray; Thanks Trevor, you've saved my sanity.
I wonder how many others have had this problem?
Thanks again, Mike.

Re: Customising Standad Toolbar in PSP 2019
Quite a few people have had the problem of PSP 2019 not working for them as well as their previous versions - with new PSP users saying it didn't work as advertised (missing tools, options, etc.). That's Corel's fault for the silly idea of making the Essentials workspace the default workspace without any warning in the workspace that by using the Essential workspace they would not have access to all of the tools and options of which PSP was capable. If they insist of making Essentials the default you'd think the least they could do would be to warn users that it provides a crippled version of PSP!Mike2019 wrote:Hooray; Thanks Trevor, you've saved my sanity.

Re: Customising Standad Toolbar in PSP 2019
Thanks JoeB; yes it appears to be a daft thing to do as Essential seems to have most of the tools but not all; why would you want a cut down version, especially as default?

Re: Customising Standad Toolbar in PSP 2019
I have a problem. Although I am using Complete Workspace and am able to get a dialog window when I right click on the standard toolbar and choose Customize, I cannot drag the needed option to the toolbar. What I see when I try to drag is a kind of null bar with an x next to it. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Customising Standad Toolbar in PSP 2019
Hi M=Peloquin, "needed option" is vague.
When you choose Customise you should get the Customise dialog box.
Can you give a step by step description of what you do then, detailing what you are trying to add to the Standard Toolbar.

Yes, I have no trouble getting the Customize dialog box. But when I try to drag an option, I cannot drag it or I can drag it but it doesn't move the option to the bar. This is what I see when trying to drag Cut to the bar.

You almost have it. Drag the chosen menu item from the folder onto the bar where you want it. Do not drag it to the folder in the window.m+peloquin wrote:Yes, I have no trouble getting the Customize dialog box. I could not capture the moving menuitem, but you can see where I was hovering and eventually placed it.
