A strange, and VERY annoying problem...

I've noticed this a few times now, and it's getting to be pretty unbelievable.

What happens is I'm working along on a video, and I want to see how it's turning out. So I scrub the timeline a little, for some reason, the audio is not even close to follow. I've got silent video clips and a music track with a song going. I scrub through during the middle of the song, but I hear the starting of the song...

So I thought, well, no big deal, really, I'll just preview it. It appears to work with Instant Preview if I preview from the start of the timeline... but naturally, it is not always optimal to preview from the beginning of a timeline-only.

So I thought, well, this is a little bigger of a deal, but maybe I just need to render it and create the preview file. So I did that, and again, the audio gets all out of synch unless previewing from the start! Like I said, it had happened before, but never so much as now.

So, at a last hope, I just created a video file of my whole timeline, and loaded it up in Windows Media Player when it was done.

This is the real CRAZY part-

My seemingly rendered video file plays, the video is all in sequence, but the song randomly starts itself over from the begining whenever it pleases!

This simply cannot due...

I'm thinking, hopefully, it's just a file type problem and all I need to do is convert my audio file to something different...?

Anyone have any ideas/experienced anything similar?

Delete preview files

If I seem to be getting synch problems, I usually delete all the preview files using the Preview File Manager, and then re-render. I've yet to have permanent synch problems (unless it's my mistake in the timeline). I just think the preview files get out of whack for some reason.

Weird

I made a slide view film, and stuck in some background music.
The music stopped and started at some random spots, and the first never ended, just repeted the last 20 - 30 seconds...

God I hate that song now...

Anyway, my fix was easy.
I did it all from scratch again.

Cause, in preview, it seemed fine. And I burnt out around 4 DVD plates with the same result.
Never found out what was wrong.
