VS 2018 Bonus Travel Template

Hello,

I just upgrade from X10 to VS 2018. After I downloaded and ran the 'Travel_VacationCreativepack.exe' . There are 4 Travel templates in the 'Custom' template library. Is this all in this package ? The problem I have is when I pull any of these templates into the timeline, VS 2018 immediately frozen and 'not responding' in the Task Manager. I tried to install this package again but the problem not solved. Did any of you has this experience and any way to resolve this frozen issue ?
Appreciate if any one can shed some light on this issue. Thanks

Sorry but I do not have that Instant projects pack so cannot test the files.
I do not know how many templates the pack installs but are saved to here
Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

So I guess you could count the folders there?
The full pack may not all go to Custom and could be in another library gallery.

Do they open ok using X10?

I have recently upgraded to VS2018 with the Travel Template Bonus offer but only have 2 Travel templates 01 & 02. I checked the file that Trevor referred to and the files dates for Travel 01 & 02 show they were recent updates.
Both worked fine when installing into the time line, I also check VS10 and the 2 templates are not included, so I assume that the Travel 01 & 02 are the Bonus templates. I installed both from the EXE file supplied by Corel, which I had to ask for as they were not part of the original download with the VS2018 upgrade I purchased.

Thanks for your information. Besides the Travel 01 & 02, did you also has the Vacation Memories and Summer Into ? I guess they are part of the package.

Also, I find it strange that the VS 2018 point to a different directory for Color Pattern, Object, etc. than the X10.

There are much less contents in the VS 2018 directory (only has 5 color pattern) than the X10 directory( has 24). For example the color pattern CP-E06 to CP-E10 are missing from my VS 2018 directory. Can you check you directory and file and let me know ? Besides, even I copied the missing files from my X10 directory to the new VS2018 directory, these missing file still not show up in the Color Pattern Display.

Did you upgrade to VS2018 from X10 or early version ? Did you uninstall the previous version before you install the VS2018 ?
Maybe I need to uninstall and reinstall the VS 2018. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the pack, yes there are 4 Instant Project Templates in the VSPTemplate folder that show in the Custom IP Library
I have not had time to check the graphics library content to compare with X10 but will do so later.
I had no problems in inserting the templates to the timeline of 2018.

In addition to the 4 templates there seems to be 14 png images in the
Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPContent\Decoration folder

Which show in the Graphics – Objects library.

Sorry a bit slow getting back to you, I have been having problems getting into the User web board, I think it may be the time difference between the board server and here in New Zealand.

Since checking, yes I have the Vacation Memories and Summer intro templates.
I’m not sure what was originally in Pattern and Object menus in VS10 as I have added extra items myself into those folders.

Have you tried renaming C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64) 21.0 folder you will find there to 21.0_OLD. Then restart VS. This will load any Object or Patterns you have added to these folders.

Are you still having problems with VS2018 Freezing when you add the templates? VS does take a while to run these initially.

Really thanks for your help and information. After I renamed the file and run the program, all the contents are now displayed correctly. Do you know which directory contain the Instant Projects ( like the beginning, end, etc. ) ? If I copy some of the instant projects fro X10 over, do you think it would display in my instant project library ?

The Instant Project files are in different locations depending on the source of the original files.
Free downloads usually go here C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate
Those installed with the program here:-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10\EditingStyle\Style
Being part of the program installation these are different to the templates in VSPTemplate
I would not advise that you try moving those, doing so could affect the program?
I have compared 2018 library to X10
Both programs have 41 Beginning, 37 Middle and 43 Ending templates.

Other purchased packages could be installed in other locations?

My X10 has the same amount of style project as yours. However, my 2018 only has 15 in Beginning, 9 middle, 15 ending. A lot less than X10. Here are screenshots:

Would it be possible to add all the X10 style project to the 2018 library ?

The images you show seem to indicate that you have only installed the main program and that the Contents packages have not been installed
The first 5 templates being installed with the program the rest being installed from another IP Pack / Sports, the files for those should be here
C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

So from your programs download files do you have a \64bit\StandardContent folder
If yes open the StandardContent to run the setup_CHD.exe file

when you first opened the instant template library you should have seen numerous references to populating the library which all happens automatically but at the end you should have seen a request (can't remember the actual words as it's a long time since I did it) along the lines "do you want to include all extra projects" saying yes to that should find and install all previous templates on your computer regardless of what version they were originally installed for

It just does not make sense.
First Gary’s comment was referring to the messages we get after selecting the IP library pages.
The program updates the IP database then asking us to include previous projects, I usually say yes to that.
As far as I know that would upload User templates , I do not think it will include the files installed by the program?????
Either way worth accepting that option, once done we do not see that option again.

Below two images showing the Beginning templates, the first few being installed when installing the main program, the rest installing the Contents files.
Go to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018\EditingStyle\Style\Beginning\PAL
You may be in NTSC so select that instead of Pal
Those files are your IP Beginning files, I see 31 files

How many files do you see?
If you do not see 31 then you could try copying those from X10
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X10\EditingStyle\Style\Beginning\PAL
I do not normally recommend copying files from one version to another, as a last resort.

My preference would be to re-install the program using the Cleanup tool to uninstall 2018

If you do re-install I would also download the installation files again, just in case your files are corrupt.
The web installer will allow you to do that provided you select a new empty folder and deselect “do not download installed Files”

As a thought.....Reset the program, there are two folders called 21.0, make sure you renamed the correct one
