PSP 2019 CRASH
Attempted to merge 2 large images one 43 megs, the other 29 megs and the programs simply quit. No warnings - it just closed. Made 3 attempts with exactly the same result. Ended up doing the merge in PSP 2018! For the first day of using the new App, am not impressed!

Re: PSP 2019 CRASH
I too have been experiencing sudden crashes but have not been able to identify a specific action that causes the crash but it seems to happen most when I am doing something related to files.

What do you mean by "merge" ? Do you use the Photo Blend tool ?RobbyM wrote:Attempted to merge 2 large images one 43 megs, the other 29 megs
How many pixels (W x H) each file ?
Do they have layers ?
Could you explain your steps ?

" 43 megs, the other 29 megs "
This is such a useless bit of information. I wish people would stop using it. That size generally relates to the size of an image on disk which can be widely different depending on whether the image was saved as a jpg or a tif or bmp file. Or it can refer to the size in RAM which dies at least give a rough pixel size.
eg an 5616 x 3744 pixel image saves as a
14 MB jpg
31 MB tif
61 MB bmp
In RAM memory it uses 61 MB 9 (same as bmp file)
What is your version number of PSP 2019 - is it fully updated (Update 1).
