PSP 2019 Ultimate stopped working completely

Post by OpusCroakus »

Hello again,

Well, after getting help with my workspace problem, I enjoyed almost a full week until 30 minutes ago. I was trying to convert an old PSP 5.03 image to a .psd file through batch conversion because PSP 5.03 won't open the original file. Each time I used batch conversion through both the old PSP and this new one, they crashed.

Now, I'm unable to get the new one to boot up. Once the workspace loads, I get the error message that it's crashed and Windows is looking for a solution.

I uninstalled and reinstalled but retained my original settings, since that's an option during a reinstall (could that be the problem? Should I reinstall but this time lose my settings? Will it also force me to have to repurchase the cards/crochures I purchased?). This time I went ahead and loaded both the 32- and 64-bit programmes, but neither one will load. AFTER A REINSTALL. Apparently I'm no longer able to use PSP 2019 Ultimate, and I want to know what to do to fix it. PLEASE. This has been the worst month. I had a hardware crash on an old Windows 7 laptop, so was forced to purchase a new laptop last month. I have a Lenovo Ideapad 330 with Windows 10 64-bit. I was certain a reinstall would fix things. I was wrong and so upset I can't even think. It angers me that I was FORCED to upgrade to Windows 10, and so now I'm having the most trouble with unstable graphics software that I've ever seen. It's ridiculous.

If someone can help me I would be so very grateful.

After uninstalling, make sure to use the Cleanup tool available from a sticky link near the top of this forum. Then reboot, then reinstall both 32 and 64 bit versions and see if that helps.

OP: you need to copy/save any free/extra content you get from every provider, for every app. This from my experience with windows for 25+ years. If you religiously follow this advice you will never fear uninstalling a program again. Even when PSP stores free content in obscure directories, you can find, copy and save duplicates of the files you receive.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.
