I do a lot of sports photos. A weekend netball carnival or rowing regatta weekend I can end up with anywhere from 2000 to 6000 photos to wade though.
My Nikons save photos in separate folders of 999 photos each & I work on a folder at a time.
ASP is heaps faster than lightroom to load & quick edit (eg level, crop, contrast, sharpness etc) that volume of photos. Maybe Photo Mechanic would be better?
I don't start editing until all NEFs and previews have been loaded.
I have been a user of Aftershot Pro from version 1 to version 2, and now version 3. I love the layout, functionality & tools.
But I find that ALL versions crash regularly.
V1 & V2 were on my old PC - I5 4Gb RAM integrated graphics etc So a bit slow. So I thought it was the PC
But even with a new PC - I7, 16Gb RAM, SSD, separate graphics - V3 still crashes.
What a I doing wrong? Is there a cache that fills up, or some other setting that causes this?

Re: Aftershot Pro regularly crashes
I think you have to live with it. It has been like that since the bibble days. The program closes on random occations. I have used on several computers - so hardware error is not the issue here - it is poor programming.
