how to close project & open new one with empty screen?

hello. finding no way to close a project except open another project or close the entire program. am I missing how to close a project? Is it odd to have a bunch of projects open at the same time?

If I make a new project, instead of an empty screen there are all the clips etc from the previous project. how can I get rid of all that stuff?

It is not possible to "have a bunch of projects open at the same time" - unless you are "nesting" (specialised procedure) or doing something very odd Videostudio will only display one project at a time - with the name being displayed in the very top right corner of the screen

"File >> New Project" - if you have not saved the existing project Videostudio will first check with you if you want to save it or not - answer that question and Videostudio will close the existing project and open a new blank one
