Disable double-click in selections

When using the Freehand Selection Tool with "point to point" Selection type a double click on the mouse button will connect the end point with the start point.

Is there any way to disable the "double-click" function as I have a condition that gives involuntary movement of my hands/fingers?

You can change the mouse click speed in windows 10 (and other versions of Windows) to suit you.
Click Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse > Additional Mouse Options to bring up the Mouse Properties dialog box. Or put Mouse Properties in a Windows Search box.
There you can change the double click speed for the mouse buttons.
I do not know of any equivalent in PSP as that would be reinventing the wheel.

If PSP ends the selection before the end of your work, you may continue where you were stopped : change the selection Mode to ADD or REMOVE.
