PSP 2019 Ultimate two Plugins Not Installing Correctly

Post by thenail »

Just purchased PSP 2019 Ultimate and I Purchased two new Script Packs: Dragon Effect and Antique Painting Script - they show up now under "My Library", clicked the install, says completed successfully, but the new Scripts do not ever show up in the Scripts List (View Toolbars->Script). Tried reinstalling them several times with no luck. I also checked both folders: Scripts Restricted and Scripts Trusted and no new Scripts to be found there either after the install. I even did a search on my C: Drive for *.PspScript files that contained "dragon" or "antique" and there were none found. Been struggling for over a week on this now, did reach out to Corel Support but they have not been able to figure it out yet either. Just wondering if anyone else is having a similar problem with PSP 2019. I am running Windows 10 as my OS.
I also did check the File Location Paths in file -> Preferences -> File Locations for both Scripts Restricted and Scripts Trusted and they are correct. I wish they would just send me the .PspScript files for the two Scripts so I could manually install them. The integrated .msi installer in the PSP 2019 GUI is not working out for me. I also considered permissions as the problem, but my user on Windows is an Admin and I even tried running the PSP program as Admin - still no luck trying to install the Scripts.
I was hoping someone else out there might have some suggestions - I have run out of things to try.

Thanks for any ideas anyone else can provide.

Spelling error - it is Dragan effect not Dragon. Looked back through some old versions and found the script I had used soem years ago
the file was
Dragan Effect_X7_64bit.PspScript

So if you do a search for Dragan Effect , you should find it .
it came as a zip file for me and opened to produce a 32 and 64 bit version.
I just copied those into my
C:\Users\*UserName*\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\17.0\Scripts-Restricted in windows 10.
The 32 bit gave an error but the 64 bit one ran correctly using PSP 2019 32 bit and 64 bit versions.
I think the 32 bit version was for running on 32 bit machines like XP and Vista
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867

UPDATE: Several emails and several calls later ... Corel finally sent me out the Plugins in an new stand alone .exe install - using these both Scripts installed perfectly the first time. So the .msi install through the PSP GUI did not work for me. Still do not know why, but the stand alone .exe Script installers that they sent me for both Scripts worked without a hitch. Things are working now. Thank you Corel.
