Is it possible to reduce the blur in images in PSP X5? There is a dreaded image that I have tried twice now to capture, but it always ends up blurry. I can't actually view the image on an actual computer screen until I return from the place I took it. It is hard to tell whether or not it's been blurred. I have resized it to 800 x 600, but I have the original. I essentially need the numbers directly below the line near the top to be readable. Can this be done in PSP?
Here's a link to the image (2500x1920 in size).

Re: Unblurring images
I don't think it would be. Essentially when I view it at 100% all of the text is simply blobs of color, roughly identifiable as having been text but no discernible outlines of characters. The opposite of blur is sharpen. Sharpening images simply refers to increasing the contrast between edges and the background and there aren't really any edges of which to speak. I could always be wrong, but I don't think any of the sharpening methods would work on an image like this.
May I ask what type of camera you're using to capture this image? It looks to me like a focusing issue and not a steady hand issue. Have you considered taking several close up photographs and stitching them together in PSP?

OK. I have been using ICE and Affinity to stitch pictures. How do you do it in PSP?LeviFiction wrote: . . . Have you considered taking several close up photographs and stitching them together in PSP?

I'm not familiar with how affinity does it but ICE is an automated process. In PSP it's all manual, you bring your individual images in as layers, increase the canvas size, and arrange the layers to line up the lines using the pick tool to scale and rotate as needed.

Re: Unblurring images
Isn't it simply a matter of not having the data in the image file in the first place? You can't 'create' a sharp edge if the software/editor hasn't got the data to work with.
