I installed PSP2019 ultimate a few days ago.
1st) Now, trying to redo the few customizations I had made in X9, I somehow LOST (deleted) a menue line. (It's the line 'One Step Photo Fix' in the 'Enhance Photo' menue, but I think it might as well be any other.) Normally, I use the program in German. If I switch to English, the menue is complete again - but after switching back to German, it's lacking again. HOW CAN I RESTORE THE MENUE?
2nd) The problem arised while I was searching for a way to put the above mentioned command in a TOOLBAR, as I had it in X9. Meanwhile, I have managed to do so - but only as TEXT (which needs too much space), not as an icon - which was very simple to do in X9.
DOES ANYONE KNOW A WAY to have new command-icons added to toolbars? (Only the TOOLS-toolbar has a plus-sign wich allows me to add new TOOLS, but no other commands.)
How to restore a 'lost' menu line?

It sounds like you moved the "One Step Photo Fix" instead of copying it to a tool bar.
Go to View -> Customize and on the Commands Tab click on Enhance Photo on the left hand side and then One Step Photo Fix on the right and drag it back to the Enhance Photo menu.
To get rid of the text on the tool bars click on the Toolbars tab on the Customize box and untick the show text labels box.
FYI - going forward if you want to copy something from a menu to a tool bar, hold down the CTRL key while dragging the item.

Re: How to restore a 'lost' menu line?
Thanks a lot. What you describe (and also the picture you attched) reminds me totally of what I am accustomed to from X9.
But when I select "Customize" (no matter, where), I get a mask that shows the "Options" tab, and ONLY the "Options" tab.
So it seems that THIS is my real problem - not the lacking of a menue line.
Have you any idea, what I can do about THIS problem? (Below the level of reinstalling the program, that was installed and updated just 2 days ago.)

Sounds like you are in the Essentials workspace which is a dumbed down version. Go to File -> Workspace - > Complete and you will back in familiar territory with Customize.

Thank you, Kathy, that was it. (I have no idea how I came to work in the Essentials workspace!)

Re: How to restore a 'lost' menu line?
Corel has made the Essentials workspace the default one that appears. In other words, by default upon installation users get a crippled workspace, resulting in this forum getting lots of requests for help from people who can't find either the tools they were familiar with in previous versions or not being able to find tools that Corel advertises and promotes when it promotes PSP2019. At the very least they should have made sure that when you open in the Essentials workspace you should get a warning that you are working in a crippled workspace and need to change to Complete if you want to use the program to its full potential.Sceptic wrote:Thank you, Kathy, that was it. Re: How to restore a 'lost' menu line?
Thank you Kathy.
I just spent the last two hours trying to get my menus back and your post sorted it immediately. I have not made any changes to my PSP 2020 system in months, so God only knows why it changed.
Again, thanks.
