Paint Shop Pro 2019 utimate, crop tool

Hi, I just upgraded to PSP ultimate 2019. One of the main reasons is the Golden Spiral in crop tool. Having a guide to improve composition is great - I thought.
But...
How do you rotate it?
There are 2 positions only, with the spiral starting from bottom right or bottom left.
And if I try to rotate it, it's the image that rotates, not the crop.
How does this make sense?
Someone, please tell me there is a configuration somewhere that allows to rotate the crop tool, not the image.

Nope. It has been complained about extensively. See any of the other topics on the crop tool.

Some people really like it. But this was added back with PSP2018

I understand the logic for rotating the image, but that makes the golden spiral crop useless in many cases.
They could at least provide multiple formats as a way to rotate the spiral.
Very short-sighted development.

There are 2 positions only, with the spiral starting from bottom right or bottom left.

Spiral starting changes when your crop rectangle is modified. Changing width/height ratio reverses the spiral.
Try this :
- draw a thin horizontal crop rectangle on top of an image
- drag the crop rectangle bottom right corner to the bottom
- when height becomes larger than the initial width, spiral reverses
