Create 1080 x 1440 for ipad?
Hey all, I need to create some videos that are 1080 X 1440 to fit Ipad in portrait position. Can this not be done with VS or am I missing something (again).?

Hi
Portrait frames can be created using Video Studio but uses 1080 x 1920
Virtually turning a HD video on its side
1080 x 1440 calculates as 4:3 / 3: 4 ratio, is that the shape you need.
Go to Settings Project properties and change them to use Mobile – 1080 x 1920
Then import your clips
Share Same as project settings – top left just below the words Create a Video
much easier to turn the phone to landscape to view a normal video shape.

Re: Create 1080 x 1440 for ipad?
Thank you Trevor, this has me super close now. Just need to widen a littl, and of course work on my proportions lol. My photo booth uses attract screens in the ipad and the software says videos are 1080 X 1440 to fit properly. I was trying to select the "User-Defined" frame but its greyed out.

Hi
Just below the preview screens are several icons, the right hand one expands to show 2 icons, select the left icon, Scale Mode
You should now see a selection around your video clip, I assume that does not include the black bars?
Right click the preview screen for Fit To Screen

Hi sorry I should not assume you were using VS 2018.
Using X10 set your project properties (Alt+ Enter) mobile to 1080 x 1920 for portrait aspect
From the overlay track right click preview screen for Fit to Screen
should look similar to this where the bounding box, the yellow outline is around the frame
Your image does not show that, either it’s the Project Properties or an unusual video?
