Lost a selection I was editing

PSP 2019 Ultimate, after an update I cannot find a selection I was editing. Nothing in recent files or in history. Did I lose it all? Where does PSP store these, I had saved it several times over a few days.

Did you save the selection to Disk or to an Alpha Channel?
If to disk then it should be in
C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\2019

If you saved it as an Alpha Channel then you should also save that as a .pspimage to keep the Alpha channel and the selection.
You just have to reload that pspimage and then load the selection from the Alpha Channel.
