I have an issue with VideoStudio Ultimate ‘18 which I’ve never seen before.
Footage shot on a JVC HD video camera appears fine on both the camera view screen itself and when playing the individual files on Windows.
However, when I import them into VS, all I get is the sound with no video at all and on,y a white background. This is the same for every single clip.
I have updated VS with whatever the latest patch is and as I say the clips themselves run properly elsewhere so are not corrupt so I am totally at a loss.
If anyone can help I’d be hugely appreciative as i’m working on a project which has to be completed by mid December and am tearing my hair out over this.

Hi lawgiver_ape
Do you have the QuickTime codec installed, may be needed for some QT files?
There was a security issue with the QT Player but installing the Codec is ok.

Re: Problem importing .mov files
Thanks to everyone who replied. Quicktime codec didn’t make any difference (but I was unaware of the security issue on Quicktime so grateful for people flagging that up) so I ended up converting everything to MP4 and it’s all fine and dandy and my project is back on schedule. Thanks
