I'm doing my first attempt at motion tracking...wanting to blur out something.
I followed the video tutorial. Below shows the clip on the timeline:
Next is the marked area to blur in the motion tracking tool:
But when I play it, it is not blurred. I changed the courseness of the box that blurs thinking it wasn't fine enough, made no difference.
Any suggestions?

Re: Motion tracking not working...
It would help to know which tutorial you were following. Gripps2211 has produced some good tutorials, so rather than reinventing the wheel, could I suggest that you take a look at the one I've linked below to start you off with?
https://youtu.be/PuVKHjbB1HU
In this tutorial, he shows you how to set up the Track Morion, which of course is the most important part.
Looking at his tutorials I didn't see a tutorial to blur something, although he does hint at it in the tutorial above. So how do you do this?
Ok, it isn't that much more work after you've created the initial tracking as shown in the above tutorial. He does click on the 'Mosaic' box to Apply/hide the mosaic. This is your 'blur' feature.
The first thing to do is to drag the blue box over the object that you which to blur. Of course, this should be the object you have tracked. You now have a few options to select from. You can change the general shape of the box between an oval shape, a rectangle or none, although it lists the oval as a circle. Initially, it'll be set to "None". Next, you can change the size of the blurred squares. The default is 20. Depending on your choice, you can lower or increase this. The higher the number, the larger the blurred squares are. Setting it too low will hardly make it difficult to guess what you are hiding by blurring it.
Now the fun piece. The blurred box/oval will follow the item you are tracking, but it may be a little too large or too small in places. You'll need to just play the clip and ensure that the box/oval is covering the item properly, resizing it and perhaps adjusting the position accordingly. You may need to follow this a few times, just in case.
If the object goes off-screen then move the scrubber to that point and press <F4> or click the 'Track Out' icon at the end of the timeline in the Track Motion editor. If it comes back in, you can start with a fresh tracker from that point in the same clip.
Once complete, click 'Ok'.
