Can't open Sony A7III ARW images
I am new to Corel, having dumped all things Adobe (don't want subscriptions). I just bought Aftershot 3. Sony A7III shows as accepted by Aftershot 3 in the complete list of cameras supported, but when I point AS3 to the folder with ARW files from Sony A7III, I don't see any of the images. In fact, in bottom left it shows 113 images (these are jpgs, and they display), but there's another 113 ARW files (total 226 files in folder). Help!! Not a good start.

Re: Can't open Sony A7III ARW images
I can make one reply to my own post: The Sony A7III ARW files show up fine in Paintshop Pro 2019. Maybe I can just get rid of Aftershot, and open the ARW file in Paintshop, save them as TIF files, and do the editing in the TIF file, thereby preserving the original ARW file untouched. ???

Re: Can't open Sony A7III ARW images
I have another response to my own question. Searching in this forum, I saw reference to downloading camera files. Looking further, another post said to look on right tab of AS3 "Get More". I did so, and found Sony A7III. However, clicking on it just informed me I needed AS 3.4 or greater. The "about" window of AS3 informed me I already had vrsn 3.5.0.35. But I still can't click on A7III and "get more"...

Re: Can't open Sony A7III ARW images
Sorry to respond multiple times to my own post, but i keep discovering interesting things. Opening Paintshop Pro, I can see a test ARW image from Sony A7iii. For 'grins' I selected edit, and I was put into a RAW IMAGE EDITOR. This surprised me. After making a couple test changes, I selected "convert", and I converted this into a TIF file, which (as previously noted) I can see in Aftershot pro 3 (though can't see the native raw file). I'm unclear about how much functionality actually exists in the raw editor that pops up in Paintshop Pro, but will further investigate. I won't bother you folks to keep responding to my own post...I'm just interested and excited (as a former IT professional of 35 years) to discover these things...
