Hello, I purchased VS2018 and i installed these NBFX:

- Art Effects
- Film Effects
- Light Effects
- Paint Effects
- Video Essentials III
- Video Essentials VI

I can't see none in the FX section of VS.

I tried this step by step tho but in vain: https://support.corel.com/hc/en-us/arti ... -products-

Could you help me please fix it because i would like to use my NBFXs in my new version of VS

When you go to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2018\vft_plug, are there any files there beginning with NB?

If there are, then go to C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64) and change the name of the folder 21.0 to 21.0_OLD. Then start VS again. It will take some minutes to reopen. That's because it is rebuilding its database, including hopefully this time all those NB filters.

And if you can't see the AppData\Roaming folder, make sure you have Show Hidden Files active in Control Panel > File Explorer Options > View.

I too have the same problem as the OP.

I have followed Ken's instructions on rebuilding the 21.0 folder, although the NB files were already in the vft_plug folder.

All that happens when I try to use the NB titler is that the programme stops working. This with the original 21.0 folder and the rebuilt version.

The only way I can close the programme is to use Task Master. Screen shot shows what happens.

Ok i almost made it.

I uninstalled VS2018 and all NBfxs
I reinstalled all starting by VS and then the NBfxs
I add all the paths when prompted but this did not work so i renamed the 20.1 in %appdata%
I copied all the IXml and VFT files from NBs folder into the VS vft_plug folder
I restart VS and i can see them now

But now VS doesnt startup anymore

I am having similar probs on VS X10 (20 instead of 21). Maybe NB should address this issue?!

Exactly what issues are you having, just one NB filter or all your owned filters

Did you purchase from Corel, if so, contact support, or if this is a previously owned filter purchased from NB, then contact NB support
I did have the NB Art filter, trial, installed on my Win 7 desktop, but uninstalled after the trial period

Apart from Robert's question, have you tried changing the name of the 20.0 folder in the same place I referred to above in relation to the 21.0 folder? What happened when the database rebuilt. And were there NB filters listed in the vft_plug folder in the main VS X10 installation folder in Program Files?

Hello, I purchased all my NBfxs from corel.


I passed the entire day yesterday installing uninstalling trying many combinations and

If i install art effects alone it's ok

But when i start installing other NBfxs, VS won't startup anymore.

If i install some NBfxs without art effects it's ok

But if i add art effects with them installed then VS won't startup.

I think some of the NBfxs are not compatible all together or some with some others etc in VS

Anyway if i dont find a solution i will just give up on art effects since it seems to be the rejected one

You should contact Corel Support, I can confirm that with the installation of New Blue Art Effects on my Win 10 laptop, VS 2018 fails to launch, stuck on Splash Screen

SP4 seems to have cured my Newblue problem.

I can now load NB titler and the programme does not crash.

I now just need to learn how to use it.

I have read all of this thread and have not found a solution to the same problem I am having.
Recently purchased VS2018 Ultimate.
Purchased New Blued Film Express the next day....but it does not appear in my effect library.
Went to Corel Support, went to New Blue support and keep getting the run around.

Does anyone know what path the NB Film Effects should be pointed to ?

Yes sir......late night typo error. Thank you for the prompt response. I have gone back and forth with Corel support and could not get a direct answer as you have provided. I will check this out and let you know if I was successful.
