PSP2018 & PSP2019 - Unused Commands Gone

Post by dublevay »

Hi,

I confess I've not been using PSP for a while, due to other commitments - but had still been buying upgrades - i.e. PSP2018. I've just come back to using PSP2018, and it seems that the old 'Unused Commands' feature is gone. I used to use many of those functions. The entire customize dialog seems to have been cut right back since PSP X9. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I've installed PSP X9 again, then PSP2018 alongside. And I've even downloaded the trial of PSP2019 - but no, unused commands really does seem to have been removed.

Is there any way to add these back in? Unused commands that I made the most use of were: Auto White Balance, Auto Contrast, Auto Saturation - but I also used to move commands around to suit my work approach - and all of this seems to have gone.

Thanks

John

Switch to Complete workspace.
Go to View / Customize
and you will see the Unused commands.
They are still there in 2018 and 2019.

Ah - thank you so much Jean-Luc. I was on the verge of looking at other software, so frustrated was I. I'd obviously missed the workspace selection. Going back to 'complete workspace' was like seeing an old friend!

Speaking of which - are you the same Jean-Luc who was on the PSP 10 and X2 testing groups?

Thanks

Found the Adjust Gamma Correction tool in the Unused Commands line. Works great! Better than playing with Adjust Curves. Thanks.

Edit: Black and White Points is a lot more flexible than the name implies. There are a lot of fun Unused Commands.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Yeah, it would be nice if someone show us a power of all those "unused" commands. ...and I am thinking of Levi... :D
