Crop bounces back to center of photo when zoomed
If I have a photo zoomed in and I attempt to move the crop box, say on the bottom of the photo, the grid line jumps to the center of the photo. On previous versions of PSP, it allowed you to make precise crops while zoomed in. Unfortunately now, you have to have the photo in full view to adjust the crop lines on all ends. Can this be fixed like previous versions? Is there a setting? Thanks

In his Profile below the avatar, he has X9 listed (though he calls it 19).

Just noticed this problem has been around since the 2018 version and still hasn't been fixed. Anybody know a work-around?

I'm on 21.0.0.67 and it says that it's the latest version. Where do I get this update?

Re: Crop bounces back to center of photo when zoomed
The original program I installed on second August was v21.0.0.119.
I have seen different versions claimed after an update including
21.1.0.8
21.1.022 (miss type as should be four numbers separated by full stops.
and most commonly
21.1.0.22 which seems to be the correct update.

Re: Crop bounces back to center of photo when zoomed
It appears to be; at least if I understand correctly what the OP's issue is. I zoomed in on an image, set up a crop and them was able to move the crop all around the image.JoeB wrote:Is it fixed with the new update to 2019?

Re: Crop bounces back to center of photo when zoomed
If you zoom in on the image, where you can't see most of it, then use the "scrolls" to go to any edge and try to adjust the crop line, it jumps to the center of the image. At least on mine it does.

Re: Crop bounces back to center of photo when zoomed
If I may illustrate
1. Load a test image mine is 800 x 533 pixels and then using a paintbrush paint a black cross so you can see the center point of the image.
2. Place a crop rectangle that is off center say top left.
At this point the centre point is visible .
3. Now zoom in so that the centre is off screen and try and drag the lower diagonal of the crop rectangle to make it smaller or larger. 4. Bingo the window jumps dragging your cursor so that the center point is visible again.
So the question is does the update at least stop this from happening? Much of these problems are because as a part of the new crop behavioue there is an area placed aroungd the image to allow rotating of the image.

Re: Crop bounces back to center of photo when zoomed
Thanks for the pics, hartpaul, that's exactly what it does. But when I try to install the update, it says I'm on the latest version. And when I try to update from PSP, it says no updates available.

In that case if the number is not showing as 21.1.0.22 and it will not allow you to update then might be best to uninstall and then use the clean up tool from here
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52337
Then download a fresh instalation file and reinstall and then check if the number is correct.
