Tags and Identified People info has disappeared

Post by Brooksourced »

Hi, I've been learning Paintshop Pro for about two years, currently using 2018. I recently opened it and all my tags and identified people information has disappeared. I presume there is some kind of file that data is kept in that is part of the software but not my picture files. How do I find it, and how to I reactivate it. That is a LOT of hours to lose!

I tested immediately on my PSP 2018 and I see my identified people are there and my tags too.
Corel has removed some features in the people recognition but only with the last update of PSP 2019.
So, I think you have another problem on your side...
Did you uninstall and reinstall or changed something since your last work on 2018 ?
If nothing is working, try to restore the database :

Thanks for the response Jean-Luc. There are two possible causes for this in my understanding. One is that I keep my pictures on a USB connected drive and I removed it and might not have plugged it into the same place when I reconnected, making it a challenge for PSP to make the link. Another possibility is that I by accident opened an older version of PSP (I have X9 on my computer as well) and maybe confused the program. There were no crashes of either PSP or Windows.
I continue to tinker, and find that if I open the pictures the tags re-appear, but not the person identifier. In fact that function is greyed out.
