Hi, Manny here. First time on this site so bear with my alarming ignorance of protocall. Just shaking off the dust of my PI8 that I have allowed to remain idle for about a year. I have been using a program called XaraX which is a great piece of software but still missing that little bit of something that I'm trying to discover in my PI8 software. Since I only work in hard copy(greeting cards, etc.) and only for my own non commericial amusement I won't bug you about web design since that is no really one of my interests and also probably way out of my depth. Anyway my current questions have to do with adding text to things like curves or other drawn paths. I can do so much more in PI8 to enhance text(bevels for example) that make it come to life and pop right off of the page and into the viewers lap. I've read some of the help info that comes with the software but some of it sounds like mumbo jumbo to me. I'll tell you what I currently do to fit text to curve and perhaps you would be so kind as to tell me what it is that I'm doing wrong. First I select the outline path drawing tool to create a circle. Then I select the text tool and say for example spell my name "Manny". Then when I select both the text and the circle and right click and choose "fit together" the test nicely appears on the circle but then my name is repeated throughout the entire circumferanace of the circle. What instruction am I failing to give to only have my name appear only once on the circle and what are your recommendations as to me taking a course of study that will give me a good grounding in the basic tools and panels offered by PI8. Now don't get me totaly wrong. I have managed to stumble my way through a lot of the menus, submenus, too kits etc. so that I am not totaly ignorant of all the great things that PI8 can do, but I still think that I need a better grasp of ABC's of imaging. Thanks for your time and I apologize for running on so long.
Regards, Manny
