I made a video of a recent trip, and it includes mostly videos taken with an iPhone 6 Plus. There are also still photos taken with the same phone, and still photos captured off the internet as jpegs. The video is saved as a vsp file. When I go to share and attempt to make a dvd, a message appears that says "The Corel VideoStudio project includes unlinked or unreadable media files and cannot be inserted.
What files? How do I tell which ones? Is it the ones from the internet? And why are they unlinked or unreadable?

Are all of the clips in your project on your computer somewhere in a Windows folder - what you see inside Videostudio is all virtual - nothing is actually 'IN' videostudio but all linked to it due to the .vsp file
The .vsp file is just a small text file which tells videostudio which parts of videos and images to use in your project - but it must have access to all of them when you try to share so if they are not on your computer you will get an unlinked error
Normally opening your project again in Videostudio will indicate which files are un-linked

Re: VideoStudio 2018
All videos are in one folder, all photos (jpeg) are in another folder. When I reopened the project, it did not indicate that any files were unlinked. So the problem must lie in the "unreadable" category. Again, I have no idea which ones are unreadable, and the project won't open in Share, create DVD. So I am stuck. I have successfully created DVDs using earlier versions of VideoStudio. Why do they make this process so difficult and opaque???

Hi
Are you able to open the project and view on the timeline without problems?
If so are you able to do Share – Mpeg2 to render the project to a DVD compliant video file.
If yes, then start a new project (nothing on the timelines) – Share Disc DVD adding the new video here to burn the disc.
Most images (Jpeg) are saved as Baseline, Images from the internet may be saved as Progressive, I believe that could cause problems.
As a test, not sure this will work but worth a try?
Rename the Image folder, simply add one character to the name.
Try opening the project, you should see a re-link for those images, when you try to re-link you may get the message “unreadable”
Repeat with the Video folder
Maybe that will identify the actual file.
Rename the project to use the extension .TXT, then attach that file to your post
We can try to open your vsp, we will not see the actual files but may be able to relink to see wahta going on.
If the project itself is corrupt then there is little we can do?
I have to say that downloading clips from the internet are prone to cause editing problems.
