On both PSP X9and X6 when attempting to Share to Facebook I get this message-"Facebook has detected Corel PaintShop Pro isn't using a secure connection to transfer information.
Facebook will limit what Corel PaintShop Pro can ask you to share when it's using an insecure connection. This might cause Corel PaintShop Pro to not work properly."
Share to Google Photos works fine.

Re: Can't Share to Facebook error
It is a Facebook problem. They are currently changing their access settings and many programs can no more cope with their new settings. I tested with PSP 2019 and I cannot access directly to Facebook.rondo wrote:On both PSP X9and X6 when attempting to Share to Facebook I get this message-"Facebook has detected Corel PaintShop Pro isn't using a secure connection to transfer information.

Thanks for the reply, explanation and link-
Guess Corel needs to work with Facebook about this especially since it effects PSP 2019 as well.
Interestingly, DxO Optics Pro connects with Facebook for Sharing without any problems

Re: Can't Share to Facebook error
And I'm sure you can still post to Facebook using other programs, including Facebook itself. I have never attempted to post images to Facebook using PSP, preferring the 'old fashioned' simple way of simply having Facebook open and browsing for the in-built command to upload a photo.

Re: Can't Share to Facebook error
I usually put the photos I want to share on Facebook through PSP into trays and select those photos- easier than hunting through folders from within Facebook. Been doing this for years.

Re: Can't Share to Facebook error
Like Ken I have never shared images to facebook via PSP .
I prefer to have a single main Facebook folder in Documents and save all images to there first . Then opening Facebook and uploading the image from there.
If facebook were to change the method of uploading that causes problems with PSP say 4 times a year then Corel would be having to continually contact Facebook, find out the new protocols and then issuing an update 4 times ayear.
Considering that PSP allows sharing to Facebook Flickr, Google+ and Smugmug and you could have at least 4 changes, possibly more. Combine that with the problem we recently had with Google updating its Mapping function that caused PSP to hang and there could be a need for many more updates because of outside changes. Saving and using the various social medias upload feature should always work.
So the more PSP has to rely on outside loading systems remaining constant the more problems will emerge.
