VideoStudio Pro 2018 won't open

I used VideoStudio Pro 2018 for over five months (May - October 2018). Then suddenly one day it simply refused to open. I contacted Corel support and they began making suggested fixes. None of the suggestions worked. I spent many hours over 8 days trying the suggested fixes. (Uninstal, reinstall, run cleanup tool, clean boot the PC, etc.) Their last suggestion was that I did not have the latest driver for my graphics card. As it turned out the problem wasn't that I didn't have the latest driver, the problem was that I DID have the latest driver. When I switched from the most recent driver (24.20.100.6344) to an earlier one (21.20.16.4574) VideoStudio opened and ran properly.

Yes, VS 2018 is plagued with so many bugs. I have had too many issues since March after purchasing the new release. I've contacted customer support no less than 4 tines. It's always the same scenario with them (drivers) all of which never worked. All they do is read common problems off a monitor and hope for the best. Then they will close out the ticket with no resolution. I too had to completely strip off VS 2018 2X. 3rd time it finally kicked in and started.....

Do a search on this site for (annoying splash screen), I did not see that it was mentioned as possible cause for this problem ;but if I recall a while back I had two problems (no startup) and (delay startup) until I removed the splash screen per method
mentioned in earlier post.
