Need help, Paint Shop Pro 2019 having issues.

I have multiple issues going on , most of which are delays and momentary freezes of the software, but my biggest irritations is this: After loading my file in I'll go to click on the FILE tab and it will delay or freeze for like 10 to 20 seconds before pulling the menu down. I've optimized the PSP settings as well the windows 10 performance settings so I know that my ram and system are set to work at optimal levels. I've got an VERY fast I7 8th gen VR gaming computer with 32GB of ram with 2 SSD hard drives and a 1TB backup drive so again, everything is optimal so I don't know why there is such a hesitation with the software. Oh and I'm running the 64-bit version. I'm not running any kind of software in the background, not even a virus scanning software, etc. Anyone have any ideas as to what's causing the software to halt like this?

Sometimes resetting PSP to default will correct a myriad of issues. Here's a line with instructions. Note that it refers to PSPX6 but this process holds true for all versions.

Did not help at all, the FILE tab still hangs up.

Do you have many images ? PSP is perhaps creating the thumbnails ?
