Hello,
When I import h.265 files from my mavic pro 2 directly (either HLG and DLOG color profiles with h.265 on 4K, 30fps), it does not import correctly - the video is green with spots of red. It plays but can't see what it is playing due to the distortion. When I utilized handbrake to cut down on the size and exported as h.265 (4K, 30fps), it imports fine (you can see that this is the only normal looking video on the screenshot ('DJI_0096 h.265.mp4').
I don't know if anybody else that is importing Mavic Pro 2 files at h.265 are having the same issue.
I am using VideoStudio 2018 and my laptop is a 13inch HP Spectre x360, 13-ae014dx, i7-8850 @ 1.8GHz/ 1.99GHz, 16gb RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 620, and 512 SSD. The computer has h.265 codec and I can play all the files very smoothly on the computer.
I bought the software and computer this week to be able to edit h.265 without modifications to keep it a high a quality as possible.
I appreciate your feedback.

Same here. I invested in this application based on the listed support of H 265 4K video however I cannot work with the video out of my Mavic 2 Pro. This needs fixing ASAP

Hi
Apologies for the lack of response to this post it appears to have been overlooked.
Are you able to provide a sample, you would have to upload to a sharing site, dropBox, Google Drive, One Drive etc.
We can then test the files.
You may be best in contacting Corel Support, they would as far as I know request a sample to test.

Re: Green/Red videos importing HEVC/H.265 from Mavic Pro 2
I am having the exact same problem. Same drone, Same Program, same issue with Red and Green Distortion on all of my H.265 videos but not on the H.264s. I downloaded the HEVC from microsoft found here: https://support.corel.com/hc/en-us/arti ... ideoStudio
but it still doesn't work.
Did you find the solution?

Hi
We do not work for Corel, simply volunteers trying to help
Have you contacted Corel Support to provide them with a sample.
H265 is relatively new and any new codec changes by the drone manufacturer could cause a problem
Without Corel knowing they are not gonna do anything
If you can also provide a sample here we can try the video on our PC’s

Thanks Trevor.
Yes, I did contact support at Corel. This was their reply:

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Corel.
I would suggest you to convert the file format into .mp4 (1920*1080) and then try to work with VideoStudio.
Should you need anything else in the interim, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you,
Siddarth
Corel Customer Support
The file I sent him was the following (you can try it too).
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ogxagya2jiv77 ... 8.MP4?dl=0
as you can see it is an MP4 file but 3840 X 2160.
The file can be played just fine on my laptop and other H264s work on the Videostudio 2018 program. The problem is just with H.265 (24fps 4K) on the VideoStudio 2018.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Roger

Re: Green/Red videos importing HEVC/H.265 from Mavic Pro 2
Thanks for making that sample available. Unfortunately, I can't help you directly to get it to play properly in VS because I have my own problem with HEVC in VS. Video Studio simply won't accept HEVC on my computer, and in effect I get the message that the computer is not capable of playing or editing that format. I get either a black timeline or else a black/white pair of lines in the timeline and a "File format mismatch" message. However, Intel says that both my CPU and GPU are HEVC-capable, and HEVC video plays happily on my video players and, importantly, can also be edited and reproduced in both Cyberlink Power Director 16 and Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 15. No problems, and definitely no colour casts.
While conversion to H.264 format might work, it will of course negate the better compression rate of HEVC. One option you might want to try, though, is to use a video conversion program to convert it to H.265 with similar properties to the original, but using the Matroska (.mkv) format. Handbrake can do that for you. Again, though, I have not been able to test the result in VS. VS can see and use MKV video, but again it tells me that my computer is not capable of playing it. But it may work for you and preserve the HEVC characteristics and quality of your original video.

Re: Green/Red videos importing HEVC/H.265 from Mavic Pro 2
Hi
Well I was able to insert the sample to 2018
The codec shows as H265 Main 10 profile video
The data rate of 99981 kbps
There is no audio stream
Like you it shows as green and very pixilated
Pinnacle 22 was a different matter and I was able to view the sample, a grey roof
Unfortunately I could not render to h265 although I think that should be possible, being new to Pinnacle I just did not know how, the process produced a h264 file.
But at least it did not crash and played the H265.
Not to give up I used X10 and that accepted the sample although with a thin green line at the bottom. That has been noticed before with some MP4 clips?
I was able to render that to h265
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 3840 x 2160, 50 fps
Frame-based
H.265 Main Profile Video: 40000 Kbps, 16:9
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 192 Kbps
As X10 accepts the sample there is no reason why 2018 should be having problems?

I can't tell you how grateful I am for all of your help on this. Thank you Lata and Ken Berry. You have offered me some information that I couldn't get on my own (that Pinacle works at least to view it). Will take this and continue on. Any other comments or ideas welcome.
