yet another audio sync issue (this one is really weird)

I am creating a video that is approximatly 12 mins in length. The only problem is that I need three audio tracks. So what I did was create the video with one audio track for the music and the other for sound effects, i rendered the sound file, basically mixing the 2 tracks into one. I went and took the same video footage (exact to the frame) and inserted the created audio file, along with my third track to give me three tracks of audio. Now when I play my video in the preview window, the audio from the created sound file (with 2 tracks mixed) is out of sync by 2 seconds). Am I going about this all wrong, is there another way to get 3 audio tracks? The audio file is exactly the same length as the video file, so I don't know where it goes out of sync. Any suggestions? I know it might be kind of confusing to understand exactly what I did. I am using VS7 SE DVD.

p.s. The audio is out of sync at the 1:30 part in the movie (very early)

If I understand you correctly: you laid out the two sound tracks beside the video in the timeline, deleted the video and rendered the sound.

What MIGHT work better (never attempted this) is: lay out the video with two sound tracks in the timeline. Render the whole thing to a new video file - I seriously recommend that you use avi, or DV format.

Now take the new file (that has 2 soundtracks incorporated), place it in the timeline of a new project, drop the third soundtrack in anywhere, and re-render the video.
