Can this be done somehow?

Post by DisneyRob »

I made a small film using Corel VideoStudio Pro last year for an upcoming project. Saved the film in an MP4 format. The project ends with "coming in Spring 2018". Deleted my work in Videostudio as the project was done. (Or so I thought). Due to health issue (heart attack), I did not meet my deadline of Spring 2018, but want to release my project in Spring 2019. Is there some way I can reload the MP4 file into Videostudio and just edit that last section. Do not want to start the whole project all over again, just need to edit that last section. Thanks

Yes of course there is - just insert the mp4 to your timeline and edit away - then Share - using the same settings as last time

Easiest way to put the video in Videostudio (although there are many other ways) - RIGHT click on the timeline - choose 'Insert Video' and then browse to the video on your computer and select it

Thanks, but I tried that. The original video will not change. Yes I can add things over top of the original video, but it will not let me take things out of the original. So even though I can add 2019 to the video, the 2018 is still behind it.

The old title will be embedded in the old video and you cannot change that bit - best you can do is make a small colour block with 2019 on it and put that in the overlay track and size and move it to cover the bit you do not want then share from there

Can't you remove(ie delete) the "2018" section and then add the new 2019 section?

You will have to cover or remove the frames containing the date.
Take a screenshot just before the date appears
Add the screen shot image to the overlay track to cover the new date, add a new date.
Or
Use Freeze Frame immediately before the old date, that adds an image, remove the last clip containing the old date, add a new date.
