Error message when trying to print

"the print setup dialog failed to initialize" This started popping up whenever I try to print a picture from psp 7 ver 17.4.0.11 64b, Ive tried it on 2 different printers, and all my drivers are up to date

Does any one know how to fix this?

Edit, I've just upgraded to psp 2019 ultimate, getting the same error

Yes, 32b as well
The printer will print from other paint programs, but not paintshop.

Does not sound like PSP7, which is v7.04, a JASC product. Sounds like PSPx7, a Corel product.

yes it is corel psp x7


also does this in psp 2019

Also just discovered it will print if I choose the center on page but then it prints a small pic in the center of the page, it will not print if I choose the "fit to page" option.
and now when I try to resize the image the program crashes, no error message it just shuts down.

I just installed psp x7 in my hp laptop, does the same thing there.

You have not mentioned which printer and model number. That would help so that others who have the same printer(s) can test to see if they have the problem.
Have you used the same printer cable from your computer - tried a different cable?
also list the steps you are using to print.
I have only used the print function in any version of PSP to test out problems that others may be having with their printer.
If it is worth printing, it is worth saving. A saved image can be printed in / from other programs - I prefer printing test images from Irfanview a free program.
If I want to print a higher quality image I will use a professional lab.

hp laserjets
m251 and m277, same error regardless, both will print from other programs without issue.

Unfortunately the vast majority - if not almost all - of printing problems reported in this forum have been with HP printers. I don't recall that any solution has been found, but others might recall if any fixes have helped.

Turns out the jpeg files were corrupt some how I replaced them, problem solved.
