I am trying to create video projects with Corel VideoStudio Ulitmate 2018 (latest and full version).
Including some Mavic Air drone footage. The footage details are: 4k, 29.97 FPS. The original video is fine, but after adding them to video studio and exporting the result is simply ugly.
For example:

I tried every kind of export settings, every bitrates, resolution, fps etc.. but nothing helps.
Also tried a lot of different settings inside the video studio.
There is one small observation, during edit when only the imported clip is played back the quality is perfect. When switching to project, like including audio in the same time, the preview will be ugly as the export result.
Do you have any suggestion?
The drone record bitrate is 100Mbps and the used sd card supports it.

Hi tegumedia
and welcome to the forums.
Yep that video sample looks terrible.
You do not give much detail of the original video but indicate 4K, the sample you provided is 1920 x 1080 not 4K.?
Are you able to provide the original sample before editing using Video Studio, we can try to replicate the problem.
There has been some reports that using Smart proxy does affect the render quality, if using Smart proxy, disable the option before rendering, does that improve quality
From Share use Same as project or Same as clip, options top left.
Have you reported this quality problem to Corel Support?

Thank you for the idea. Switching off the smart proxy is solved the problem, now the exported video has a good quality.

Hi
Thank you for your update and confirming Smart Proxy can be a problem.
Any chance you can still upload the original video sample.

I have experienced the same problem with VS18 and DJI 4K drone footage, turning off smart proxy has resolved that issue, hopefully this is corrected in the next service pack
