Audio not fading completely on FadeOut

Post by ShardulNayak »

I am fading out my track but when I try to drag down the little square to fade out completely it takes me to -36 and won't let me go any lower. Unfortunately the sound can still be heard and it just cutsoff at the end of my video clip. Is there a way to lower the volume on a fadeout all the way to 0% or complete silence?

Well, it's an ancient issue in VS and no solution on the horizon.

To do what you want to do, you could split the sound from the clip and use both a fade-out, and a cutting/deleting where you want to sound to go to zero. Not the most efficient editing but VS doesn't handle sound well and even sometimes adds blip sounds when fading out sound.
