Setting Default Folder Opening

Post by minkcreek1 »

I have PSP 2019, with default workspace set to EDIT. I want the "File Open" command to go to a specifically designated default folder, not to the last folder or file I opened or saved. I know this is strange and most people prefer to go to the most recent file or folder they worked on, but I want the "File Open" command to always go to my designated default folder.

And my system is Windows 10 with 32GB of RAM. My update of the profile info evidently did not get saved.

Thanks. I misunderstood. Thought you meant some PSP profile. I posted earlier today about trying to find where PSP 8 stores its default settings for dialogues - specifically the Add Borders dialogue - so that was on my mind when I saw this thread a little later.

There is no setting for this.

File Open uses a registry key for the folder, and it actively updates this every time you open a new image. You can create a script that always starts the FileOpen command in a specific folder. But that's about all I can think of.

I have zero experience writing a script. How would one go about doing this?
