I'm unable to get the Add Borders dialogue to retain the last settings I used. (Permanently.) Yet I don't see where the settings with which PSP 8 opens the dialogue are actually specified. Must be something obvious, but...

They are normally located in the Registry.
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Jasc\Paint Shop Pro 8\JascCmdStandard\AddBorders

Re: PSP 8 - Add Borders default settings
Thanks. At present those entries do correctly reflect my border settings, shown here:

And they survived closing and re-opening PSP 8 . So now I'll restart Win 10 and see if that's what has been losing them.
Colour has been changing to black, with symmetry enabled and zero in all four boxes.

Re: PSP 8 - Add Borders default settings
Duh! Realised the cause as I dozed off last night. PSP is reliably retaining the last settings.
You may remember those scripts you developed for me a couple of years ago to edit walk elevation profiles, which I incorporated into a macro. The final step of that was a simple script I added to place a neat black border around the result. So when later using the Add Border tool again (manually, on that same 'finished walk project'), the settings were obviously still as I described.
