I have just installed PSP 2019 and loaded all the bundled software, which the features list says has 100+ Royalty Free Backgrounds.
I know I must be missing the obvious, but how do I get to them? All I find is a few samples.
Secondly, what exactly is "Creative selections"?
Thanks in advance,
Geoff.

Re: Backgrounds
One of the pictures is labelled CGS32800 and it is a flower. Open up your C drive and then do a search for that.

Re: Backgrounds
Thanks for the reply.
A search does find the file but shows it as "Unhandled Extension Handler Finder" but doesn't show the files location. In any case, I can't believe that this is how one is supposed to open the background image in PSP 2019 !!!!

Re: Backgrounds
They are saved to the Public user's pictures folder so that they are available to all users on the computer.
C:\Users\Public\Public PIctures\Ultimate X11 Backgrounds\
Where do you see the term "Creative Selections"? As far as I know the Ultimate Creative Collections gives you the backgrounds, some brushes, and some textures. Not any selections. Selections can be saved for access later, either to the alpha channel of an image, like a PSPImage, or to your harddrive. To load a new selection go to Selections -> Load/Save Selection -> Load Selection from Disk and you should be able to select a selection from the list. This is the closest thing to a "Creative selection" I can think of but I'm just guessing. Selections don't tend to be creative.
You can also do the same thing with Masks. Layers -> Load/Save Mask Layer - > Load Mask from disk
Those tend to have slightly more creative pre-made options.

Re: Backgrounds
Very many thanks.
That was exactly what I wanted to know.
Regarding Creative selections, my mistake, I misread collection for selection!

Not sure where or how you get Unhandled etc.Norfolkman6 wrote:Thanks for the reply.

When I do a search in Windows Explorer I get a list of the files. Right clicking and Properties provides the location of these files. It is C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Ultimate X11 Backgrounds\Textures.
Doing a File Locations for Textures from within PSP 2019 gives:
C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Ultimate X11 Backgrounds\Textures
This is where the PSP2019_Corel_CreativeCollection.exe app dumps the Ultimate X11 Backgrounds folder containing 5 folders Designs, Flowers, Nature, Sunsets, Textures.
C:\Users\Paul\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\2019\Textures
This is a folder for me to save any textures I make in PaintShop Pro 2019.
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro 2019\Corel_15
This is the folder that PSP 2019 puts textures in when the main program is installed and you access these when you double click the Foregroung and Stroke Properties box in the Materials palette. Click the Textures tab and in the selection area you will find All and a drop down from that shows All , Art Media, Geometric , Photo, Ultimate 11.
Art Media - Corel_15_02
Geometric - Corel_15_01
Photo - Corel_15_03
So the extras in the Corel Creative Collection just sit there and are not normally incorporated for use in PSP except by using Manage mode or Open or Windows Explorer.

Re: Backgrounds
Thank you for that very detailed explanation. Your final sentence sums it up nicely.
Whilst Googling for an answer, I came across the following for X5:
https://support.corel.com/hc/en-us/arti ... -Ultimate-
I just assumed they could be reached in the same way. i.e under "Collections" rather than under "Computer".
Anyway, Thanks again.
