How Do You Turn Off the Themes?

Post by geekgurl64 »

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but how in the heck do you turn off the themes?? I just want the plain presentation, which I have selected on the "slideshow" tab, but those themes keep popping up after the DVD burn. I am using ver. 3. I have looked thru the manual and all it tells me to do is to add themes, which I dont want.

Thanks!

On the "Theme" step, switch to the "Menu" tab then you will find a "Motion Menu" check box, just uncheck it.

I tried turning off "motion menu" as suggested. This just turns off the thumbnail from being a video presentation. The Theme part of the presentation is still there.

Any other ideas?

I guess you want to create a plain slideshow without any presentation style or Pan&Zoom, Transition effect....
I think you can turn off the effects on "Theme/slideshow tab". (Need to press the "effect buttons" and then choose "None"). Remember to turn off all slideshows one by one. (You can choose slideshow on the "navigation control").

Theme turnoff

I would dearly love to turn off the "Theme" but haven't figured out a way to do it. It is a giant pain when this unwanted feature lays over my slideshow. I re-installed the program, but all that did was make the entire program disappear. I don't want to un-install it and then re-install, because I would lose my current files. Anyone out there having such a problem?

Had the same problem - the included themes are rubbish. To load your own pictures try this: (taken from the product FAQ)

Q: How do I use my own photo for selection menu backgrounds?
A: When you in step 2, Theme, you have the option of using your own image as the selection menu background. Click on the tab "Menu" and the check the box labeled "Background Image". Now click the icon to select or change the background image and then choose any image on your computer. CD & DVD PictureShow 3 Deluxe automatically resizes the image to fit the menu background. Using your own photo as the background image for your menu is a great way to personalize your slideshows

Hope this helps.
