Help with empty space between videos
Hey guys, I started using Corel Video Studio few days ago and I don`t know how to leave empty (black/white) space between two videos. Please help me. I am sending printscreen.
I don`t want to leave two videos so close to each other but to leave black space for a while with subtitles. Whenever I put video in project it becomes so joined with the last one that I cannot make a distance.
Thanks a lot!

Re: Help with empty space between videos
In Video Studio, all video in the top ("Video") timeline automatically join together and you cannot stop it. To avoid it and do what you want, use the overlay tracks instead. There the video clips can be spaced the way you want. Place a video in Overlay 1 and the next video later on in Overlay 1. And place the titles and subtitles in the Title tracks as you have them in your photo. In other words, just ignore the Video top track totally. And if you need more overlay tracks, you can create them in Settings > Track Manager.

Re: Help with empty space between videos
In addition you can add a colour clip between your video on the top timeline.
This can be any colour of your choosing, setting duration to any length.
Library - graphics - color

If you do not want the top track shifting over the display, on overlay tracks, you can place a dummy png to fill the space and keep the top track where you want it to be. I use 4x3 and16x9 depending on video properties.

Re: Help with empty space between videos
why not just use a color block from the color library pepegota -- no need to use special images at all -- any color you fancy and no special work to be done

This can apply to other situations as well. It is a good general technique

Re: Help with empty space between videos
Guys, thanks a lot for your answers. I still don`t know where can I choose the colour of the "video" if I don`t import png. Can anyone please tell me how to choose it?

Re: Help with empty space between videos
Hi
The library contains a Graphics section, click the flower icon below the “T” title icon
The context menu has several options, you may find these useful
The top Color page / palette gives you 15 default colours.
These are part of the program and not actual images, but work similar to using a jpeg.
Once added to the timelines we can set the duration, double clicking the colour clip opens the options panel where we can use the Colour picker to select other colours if needed.

Re: Help with empty space between videos
We are not talking about a color "video" lazar1804 but a color block which you will find if you click on the flower icon on the right of the screen and then change the little drop down to 'color' - drag any one down into the timeline and set it to any length you wantlazar1804 wrote: I still don`t know where can I choose the colour of the "video" if I don`t import png.
