Mirror image video

Post by chubtor »

I recently purchased Video Studio 2018 Ultimate and I am trying to make a new video from an mp4 file given to me that was once taken from an old tape video camera and put on DVD. However when the conversion was made it appears that the film was put in the wrong way round so that all writing (road signs etc) are a mirror image. I cannot find anywhere in the Help files that deals with this problem. Can anyone advise please.

Please explain more fully, I am very new to this programme having only ever used the Serif MoviePlus. What exactly do you mean by "take the FX function back?"

Well if that is the way it was transferred then there is no FX involved and rcoucou may have misunderstood your question - -- but FX is in fact what you actually do need - put the video in the timeline - click on the 'FX' icon next to the preview window and a library pane will open - look for an icon labelled 'flip' and using your cursor and left mouse key drag that down and place it on your video - that should solve your problem

BrianCee, thank you very much, that is exactly what I wanted to do and it worked perfectly, I can now progress with a video that will make my family very happy.
