The whole concept behind the "enhancement" of the crop tool since the 2018 implementation is bizarre! Which doesn't say much about the person(s) responsible for it either, I'm afraid.flagpole wrote:It seems a bizarre time to apply the enhancement.

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
Has anybody had any luck installing this update? I get an error message saying that the location for "PSPPro.msi" is incorrect, and it's nowhere to be found in any of the installation folders that are created while the update installer is running.
Thanks1

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
Find the PSP2019_ult.zip file from the original installation. In the setup folder are the .msi files. The installation process stops a number of times (I'm in the process of installing now so I don't know how many of the files are needed) with the message that the .msi file is not available. You need to move them to the folder in which the zip file is located because the Browse dialog sees only msi files and that can't be changed (another dumb setup). So when installation stops looking for one of these files use the Browse box to locate what it wants. Tedious.theavy wrote:Has anybody had any luck installing this update? Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
There's nothing in the release notes that I'm overly excited about. So I am just going to refuse to install until they fix the patch. It's been reported so hopefully they do it soon.

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
For me, this release is valuable :LeviFiction wrote:There's nothing in the release notes that I'm overly excited about. So I am just going to refuse to install until they fix the patch. It's been reported so hopefully they do it soon.
There is a big fix :
Text presets: Resolved unconstrained gradient issue
In previous version :
Create a text with gradient.
Move it with the Pick tool
Gradient will change inside the text.
With the new fix, gradient will stay as is was created.
The list of open files under Window menu was also a missing feature. When working with multiple files open at the same time on the workspace in untabbed mode, it was impossible to select the needed file without many manipulations. Now the workflow will be faster.
In Google maps, adding a location was sometimes impossible. It was very irritating and time consuming. Now, it is corrected and it is a good news.

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
I'm with @LeviFiction on this one. Nothing in the release notes does anything for me, so I'm not going to bother going through the hassle of trying to install the patch. So now Corel needs a patch to fix the patch - again, unfortunately because, if I recall correctly, they had to do the same thing with a patch to X8 or one of those previous versions.

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
For those wanting to install the patch without waiting for Corel to fix its installation method, details of what is necessary are contained here: viewtopic.php?p=362335#p362335 It's tedious, but it works.

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
Many Thanks Guys! Your installation Instructions for the Update worked..I lost count of how many times i had to repeat but it was so thrilling to be able to watch that percentage keep moving up after fighting it most of the day...I copied the zip files into Temp and worked from there...it was easy once you pointed out the location... just time consuming...Version is now Corel PSP 21.1.0.22 x64...

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
Anyone know of the update has been integrated in to the main installer yet?
I thought this might be an alternative installation method???

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
As advised in another thread, I advised that I had raised the issue with Corel. They have now replied: see viewtopic.php?p=362410#p362410
To summarise, they are taking the update patch off their website while they are working on a solution. They say that the problem does not arise where the original PSP 2019 installation was done from a purchased disc. In other words, it only appears where the original installation of PSP was done via download -- which I would think probably covers nearly all of us these days!

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
Is the "new" update officially released for those who own the first 2019 version ?

Re: Update for PSP 2019 is here
It's funny they left the release dates the same. It's as if the whole debacle never happened.
