I have been upgrading Painter ever since version 11 or 12, if I recall correctly. Almost every time it lets me down with the lack of performance. 2017 was the first time I was able to use it without massive lag, despite having an i7 6700 and 32 gb of RAM. 2018 went back to being laggy.
I just got an email about 2019 being available. I feel stupid for buying it every time, hoping in vain for a usable program. Is it just me? Does anyone else have difficulty using it? Photoshop CC 2018 works beautifully on my computer.
Should I upgrade again, or am I being foolish? I really, really want to love it, but for some reason, I always get poor performance...

I'm afraid our Board does not cover Painter. It has its own separate forum at https://painterfactory.com/ and you will need to register afresh for that.
