fade transition

I'm using video studio 7. There are loads of transitions but they are all quite bad and make the result look amatureish. Why isn't there a fade transition - I mean one that gradually changes the individual pixels from one sequence to another? Does video studio 8 or 9 have this?

Using VS 7

There should be a cross fade transition.
Look in thr F/X folder.

Video Studio 7 has the fade transition and so does Video Studio 8 and 9. Look in your Transitions Folder under the FX transitions for Studio 8 and 9.
