Recently I am experiencing a problem with the audio fade-in and out icons on VS X7.
The icons are working but they do not change anything on the audio tracks. The same is also the slider (fader) in the audio mode.
First time I experienced a problem with MP3 audio files, but last week also other formats had the same problem. In overlap of two audiofiles the crossfading works fine and also with the mouse I can change the audio levels.
My OS is W7 and this function was working in the past.
Any idea what to check?
Thanks!

Re: Audio fade in/out
Hi
First idea...
When we drag clips to overlap we can be using any duration, a short duration of 1 second may not be long enough to hear the effect, but dragging we could have several seconds.
Your preferences (F7) edit tab allows us to change the default duration, I suspect your setting is 1 second ( as default)
Increase that to see if you can recognize the fades. Try 4 seconds, then set to your preferred duration.

Re: Audio fade in/out
Hi Trevor
Thank you. The crossfade (overlap of two audiofiles) was working, just the fade-in/out was not, but today it works again. i have no idea what was going on last week. I edited several short films and on noone was the fade-in/out working. I opened today the same projects and suddenly the audio files could be faded. I have no idea what was wrong. I had to fade the audio tracks individually and manually.
You can see the effect if you switch to audioview and the ribbon line should go up/down. This was not doing the whole week.
