Snapping text to the top not bottom
In PSP X9, I am creating text that all the letters are a different size. I am trying to get them to line up to the top of the text, not the bottom. I keep trying to do it by making it follow a path , but that doesnt seem to work. Any suggestions out there?

Re: Snapping text to the top not bottom
Others might know of a simple way to do this, but the only thing I can think of is to type each letter on a separate layer and move them individually. This would only be practical, of course, if your project is only comprised of a few words like a banner or headline for instance, the short greeting on the front of a greeting card, etc., not whole paragraphs.

Re: Snapping text to the top not bottom
Nope, not simple. My method follows the same general pattern as yours JoeB but it has a few more steps.
Video Demo: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BTFicX ... T_9xn/view
1) Create your text object as a single piece of text.
2) Duplicate the text object and hide the original (this preserves our text object in case we want to change it)
3) Convert the Duplicate text to shapes using Objects - > Convert Text To Curves -> As Character Shapes
4) In the Layers Palette open the new group object that was created, and select all of the individual shapes
5) Go to Objects -> Align -> Top
If you want to edit the text simply delete the group and edit the original text object performing all of these steps again.

Nice one, and saves having to type each text character individually on a different layer. And if I'm right then perhaps a script could save some of the steps from having to be done manually.LeviFiction wrote:Nope, not simple. Tggorgon says he try to follow a path.
It seems he wants the following : But text should be aligned on top under the path, I suppose ...

Re: Snapping text to the top not bottom
Actually if you read carefully the main aim was to make the tops of different sized letters align along their tops and he tried a path (- a straight line path ) to see if that would work but it does not.
