Hello,
I used the Clone tool to replace some unwanted area in a photo. However, it created noticeable edge as shown in the lower right hand of this photo. I tried to use the Smooth Tool to smooth out the edge to integrated with the rest of the photo but no success. I notice there are many perimeters you can adjust the smoothness. Does anyone has any particular set of perimeters value that work well with edges ? or there is a better way of blending 2 slightly different colors together ? I tried the Smudge Tool but the result get worst.
Thanks

Re: Smooth tools
When you select the clone tool look for the Hardness, Density and Opacity options. Lower them all and see what you get.

Re: Smooth tools
Also good for these exercises would be to post a before photo and then an after photo to show what you had and what you are trying to achieve. That way others can experiment and provide you with a solution. Note that many tools will need different settings for different images. I suspect there is no one set of settings that will work equally welll on all images.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867

Re: Smooth tools
Thanks for all your recommendations. I think the Selection tool method is the easiest way to fix this problem to an acceptable level.
