PSP 2019 Crop with Zoom
I often have occasion to need to zoom in on an image in order to see where to move the crop border. In PSP 2018 it was easy. Now it is not with PSP 2019. If you zoom in to see how much to move the crop border the moment you click to move the border it jumps to the center of the image. I have looked for a setting to stop this behavior but not found any. Is this what we are stuck with for PSP 2019?

It's nice to know I'm not crazy.

I''ve put in a ticket with support for this also.
I've also noticed that it happens with other tools. If I zoom in on the face of a subject and pull up the Gaussian Blur tool, it will snap back to the center, and I can't see the face anymore.
EDIT: It's an interesting data point to see that you're on XP using 32 bit and I'm on Win 10 using 64 bit and we're both seeing the same problem.

Re: PSP 2019 Crop with Zoom
Corel made a mess out of the crop tool in PSP-2018 and now have further messed it up in PSP-2019. To add insult to injury they have now added Enhance Photo options to it and it defaults to the on position. Every time I crop, I have to make sure the Enhance Photo Options are turned off. I really wish they would either give us the option to turn off all the odd behavior and just use it as a conventional crop tool or just return it to pre PSP-2018 setup. In this issue, Corel is just not listening.

Re: PSP 2019 Crop with Zoom
I was not aware of this because I have gone to using the selection tool because of the other issues with the crop tool. But now that you have pointed it out that explains the issue in another earlier post where the poster mentioned that the Crop tool always showed a highlighted image within the crop area. I posted a reply that the crop tool has always done that to some extent to highlight the area being surrounded by the tool. Actually, previous versions applied shading to the area outside the crop borders, making the interior appear highlighted.Ozric wrote:Corel made a mess out of the crop tool in PSP-2018 and now have further messed it up in PSP-2019. I now realized from your post he was referring to the area inside the tool borders getting more enhanced brightness caused by the Enhance Photo Options button always being on by default. If I could remember which post that was I would go back and fix my mistaken impression about what the poster was talking about.
Yes, Corel seems to have some programmer(s) who is fixated on messing up the Crop tool more and more with each new version. It is now so messed up as to be practically unusable.
